Questions answered in this video

What types of lip enhancement are there?

Will it make my lips look bigger?

Will it make my lips more sensitive?

How long after the treatment can I eat?

Like conventional make-up – only better

For many achieving beautifully shaped full lips with traditional lip liner and lipstick is a challenge that is time consuming and has to be repeated through out the day.

Many people are now discovering semi permanent lip liner which frees them from this daily ritual. The procedure can be used to perfect lip shape, define the natural lip line and enhance the natural lip colour giving a healthy appearance to the lips.

Permanent lip liner eliminates lipstick smearing and is embraced by lipstick and lip gloss connoisseurs because they can still apply their lip cosmetics as desired, but never be bare 24/7.

Some of the available lip liner treatments

Expert semi permanent makeup artists are adept in the art and the science of designing the correct lip shape and look for your individual needs.

The four main techniques they use to create semi permanent lip liner enhancements are:

Barely there lip line definer – defines the natural lip contour and is created in a similar colour to the natural lips. This permanent makeup enhancement is discrete and visible only at close view.

Impact lip line definer – defines and if preferred extends past the natural lip contour to give definition and fullness to the lip. This permanent lip liner enhancement is usually created in a contrasting colour to the natural lips and gives a lip line make-up look.

Lip blush – defines and if preferred extends passed the natural lip contour to give natural definition and fullness to the lip. The permanent lip liner effect is complimented by shading that is blended softly towards the interior of the lip.

Full lip tint – defines and if preferred extends passed the natural lip contour to give natural definition and fullness to the lip. The permanent lip liner effect is complimented by infusing lip colour across the entire body of the lip using the interaction of light and shade to create a three dimensional look that gives additional volume to the lips, whilst achieving a long lasting veil of colour that appears totally natural. The full lip tint also has a remarkable anti-ageing effect on pale lips that have lost their colour and lip line sharpness due to the ageing process. Combined with its discreet lip contour definition the permanent cosmetic full lip tint gives natural looking, subtly full lips.

That lip colour looks great on you

Semi permanent make-up specialists should help identify the lip colours that complement the natural undertone of your skin and guide you with their professional opinion.

Everyone’s skin undertone tends to have a warmth or coolness to it. Warm skin will have golden, peachy undertones whilst cool skin has pink, purple, olive and ash undertones.

Generally warmer lip colours or those with a hint of yellow and orange will suit a warm skin tone – think cappuccino, caramel and browns with suggestion of gold or bronze. For cool skins, lip colours in the blue – pink spectrum are good compliments – think classic beiges with pink undertones, soft rose pinks, blue-toned reds, raisin, burgundy and chocolates.

You are of course part of the decision making process and you will generally be recommend to select from lip liner colours that look natural with your skin colouring. For an evening look you can always take your daytime lip colour up a notch by using a gloss or lipstick with a richer colour intensity.

For many achieving beautifully shaped full lips with traditional lip liner and lipstick is a challenge that is time consuming and has to be repeated through out the day.

Questions answered in this video

Who would benefit from getting their eyebrows enhanced?

How is it done?

How will it look like?

How long will it take?

Will my eyebrows’ growth be affected?

Will it look natural?

Natural looking beautifully shaped eyebrows create a synergy that harmonizes all the features of the face, accentuating the eyes to make the face look more attractive.

Eyebrows also play an important role in facial expression showing your emotions and age. If your eyebrows are too thick, too thin, or arched incorrectly, you can look worn-out, surprised or even angry.

Lack of eyebrow hair is a common problem – the causes varying from the eyebrows being over-plucked, medical conditions, injury or the ageing process. If you’re one of those people who have lost your eyebrows or have patchy eyebrow growth you know how eyebrows truly affect your overall appearance and self confidence.

Achieving natural looking eyebrows using makeup pencils and eyebrow powders is a challenge which is time consuming and has to be repeated many times a day. And frequently the results are eyebrows of a poor shape that lack symmetry and dimension.

Eyebrow tattooing is a versatile solution

Beauty savvy men and women are now discovering semi permanent eyebrow tattooing (or permanent eyebrows) which frees them from the daily ritual of drawing on their eyebrows.

Our expert semi permanent eyebrow makeup artists are trained to work with the “landscape” of the eyebrow, be it totally blank, sparse or even scarred, to create natural looking and long lasting permanent eyebrows.

With professional eyebrow tattoos, short eyebrows can be lengthened, thin or sparse eyebrows can be given more fullness and a thicker shape, asymmetrical eyebrows can be corrected and an anti – ageing lift effect can be created to improve the appearance of straight or drooping eyebrows. Whatever the case may be permanent cosmetic eyebrow tattooing can give you natural looking eyebrows designed for your individual needs.

Through permanent eyebrow makeup there are two methods used to create realistic looking eyebrows

Hair by hair simulation eyebrows

Eyebrow tattooing gives the impression of ultra fine hair strokes and is the solution for people who have sparse or no hair growth in the eyebrow region.

Colour mist eyebrows

Eyebrow tattooing gives the impression of the softest shadow of colour similar to the effect created with an eyebrow powder. It is most suited to those who have eyebrows but want to achieve the perfect eyebrow shape. It is the ideal solution for people who have pale eyebrows as it creates a soft definition beneath the natural hair growth.

Eyebrow hair does not have to be removed during a permanent cosmetic eyebrow tattooing procedure. In fact working with natural hair growth is preferred to removing the hair and redrawing the eyebrows; however, if a section of the natural brow for example the tail does not allow you preferred shape, your semi permanent make-up artist will remove the natural hair in that region and create the shape you want.

Questions answered in this video

What make up can you apply to the eyes?

Will it look natural?

Is it dangerous?

How long does it take?

How long does it last?

Can I wear make-up over the top?

Who would benefit from getting their eyes done?

More and more people are discovering the advantages of using of permanent eye liner not only because it enhances their appearance but also because it suits their lifestyle.

Carefully infused pemanent eye liner pigments make it possible to totally transform the look of the eyes giving definition and accentuating their colour – often producing more pleasing results than traditional eye liner make up.

The major benefit of permanent eye liner is that it never smears or rubs off the skin even through watery eyes, perspiration, sleep and the weather.

It is therefore the ideal solution for people with busy lives, sporty outdoor people, people who suffer with alopecia, people who have sparse eyelashes, poor eyesight or physical disabilities. It is also the perfect answer for people who experience allergies to pollen or conventional eye make up.

Like makeup only better!

One of the first things you need to consider when thinking about having permanent eye liner is whether you want a natural enhancement that defines the eyelashes or a make up look that defines the eye itself.

Some of the available permanent eye liner enhancements include –

Subtle lash line definer – this is dotted through the eyelash line to give the appearance of thicker eyelashes and is for people who do not desire an eye liner look but rather require eyelash definition. It is critical that multiple soft shades and less pigment are infused to avoid the effect taking on an eye liner look.

Fine eye liner – this is shaded through and extends beyond the eyelashes to create a precision fine line. Black brown is the most popular shade, with the eye liner on the upper eyelid being applied a little darker than that on the lower eyelid.

Thick and ultra thick eye liner – this is shaded through and broadens beyond the eyelashes to create a wider contour. The upper eyelid is classically thicker on the outer eye and tapers into the lash line toward the inner eye. The eye liner on the lower eyelid is shaded through the lash line and is applied a little thicker on the outer eye, tapering in and becoming softer toward the nose.

Unlimited Colour Choice

The colour choice for permanent eye liner is unlimited and includes soft colours, daring colours, multiple and graduated colours.

For classic eyeliner people tend to choose black, brown – back, brown and charcoal. However accent colours can also be used to match or contrast the colour of the eyes or to bring out certain flecks of colour in the iris. There are many ways to utilize accent colours which are applied in addition to the classic colours.

Eye liner colour is generally faded out close to the inner eye (nearest the nose) in order to achieve a softer appearance.
